The ford unit has three sensors for temperature and a pressure sensor mounted up near the air cleaner for when the DPF needs to be burnt off. Hypothetically I may have cut a ford one up to remove the DPF and Cat after a reflash on a race car of course. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.
Pressure difference across the DPF went from 0.6 at idle revs to 0.1 using formula ((A*256)+B)/80 Soot load (FD94, thanks Pichacker) went from ~452 to ~150. That had been holding steady at ~452 for the last 100 miles. Saw the regen trial kick in, pressure difference went up by about double and the exhaust got quite throaty and rumbly.
Thoroughly inspect the wiring harness and connector pins for corrosion or damage between the ECM and this sensor. The wiring checks out okay, replace the faulty sensor. When your diesel-powered vehicle experience a malfunction in the “A” designation of the electrical circuit of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor, the trouble codes shown by the Powertrain control module (PCM) will indicate towards different issues depending upon the trouble codes but all codes will have the problem with a Like any sensor they can go faulty and flag up a false warning. The fact the light has gone out and can be cancelled probably means its OK and the DPF has regenerated. Being electronic they are normally mounted some distance away from the hot exhaust but their location can be found by tracing back the two tubes that lead from the DPF.
