This is about a 1988 325is(aka E30), but many other models are similar. A variation of this note appeared in the Feb., 1994 Roundel and is included in the "BMW Enthusiasts Companion" book published by Bentley. Looks like the e21 323i and e30 325i exhaust gaskets are the same part number on realOEM, so I'm guessing the ports are the same size. Everything I've read, Josh, is that the 885 just "flows better" but there isn't a difference in port size i scoured the interwebs, looking for anything.
